Who needs the dismantler and auto recycler bond?
In the State of Alabama, dismantlers and auto parts recyclers are required to obtain a $50,000 surety bond in addition to their dealer regulatory license in order to be in compliance with section 40-12-412 et seq., Code of Alabama 1975. An automotive dismantler surety bond is required when a person, firm or corporation engages in the business recycling auto parts and possesses 10 or more inoperable motor vehicles for more than 30 days.
What is the dismantler and auto parts recycler bond?
The $50,000 dismantler and auto recyclers bond protects the party requesting the surety bond, the Obligee, against any financial losses as a result of poor financial choices, damages, unethical decisions, or a failure to adhere to state and local laws on the part of you, the Principal. By obtaining your bond, you are telling the Obligee that you can be trusted and that you stand by your business decisions.
